I efteråret 2021 arrangerer Aalborg Artist’s Association (𝒜𝒜𝒜𝒜) to gruppeudstillinger: ARENA og STADIUM på Brolandingerne. Med ARENA og STADIUM undersøger og kortlægger lokale og udefrakommende kunstnere byen Aalborg og de mangefacetterede kunstneriske, kulturelle og historiske relationer, som er i en postindustriel by. Udstillingerne vises i forlængelse af hinanden og består af udvalgte eksisterende værker og en række nyproducerede og stedspecifikke værker.
Til udstillingen STADIUM (03.12.21 - 19.12.21) udstilles værker af Rikke Ehlers Nilsson, Maiken Stæhr og Kamilla Mez. “Stadium” faciliterer et kritisk refleksivt blik på en by i forandring og undersøger, hvordan bestemte rum og kulturelle og økonomiske markører har strukturel betydning for kulturen i en by.
I tillæg til de to udstillinger vil 𝒜𝒜𝒜𝒜 afvikle et diskursivt program bestående af en samtalesalon, en artist talk og en læsekreds for at skabe rum for og facilitere deling af viden, idéer og kunstnerisk udveksling mellem kunstnere, publikum og i en bredere offentlig kontekst. In the fall of 2021 Aalborg Artist’s Association (𝒜𝒜𝒜𝒜) presents the two group exhibitions: ARENA and STADIUM at Brolandingerne. In ARENA and STADIUM local and non-resident artists explore and map the city of Aalborg and the multifaceted artistic, cultural, and historical relations in a post-industrial city. The exhibitions are shown in continuation of each other and consist of selected existing works and a number of newly produced and site-specific works.
The exhibition STADIUM (03.12.21 - 19.12.21) presents works by Rikke Ehlers Nilsson, Maiken Stæhr, and Kamilla Mez. STADIUM facilitates a critically reflective discussion of a changing city, and examines how specific spaces and cultural and economic markers have structural significance for the culture of a city.
In addition to the two exhibitions, 𝒜𝒜𝒜𝒜 will host a discursive programme consisting of a panel discussion, an artist talks, and a reading group to facilitate the sharing of knowledge, ideas, as an artistic exchange between artists and audiences in a broader public context.
