Mike Spine is a Seattle born and Seattle/Europe based musician known for his voice, intelligent songwriting and live performances. He has played hundreds of folk rock, rock and punk shows in five continents since 1995.
He is touring as a folk rock/folk punk duo in support of the release of his 10th studio album, a double album anthology titled “Forage and Glean, Volumes I & II”, with Mike on guitar and vocals, accompanied by Barbara Luna from Milan, Italy on guitar, piano, violin and backing vocals. He is also performing songs from his upcoming 11th album, which contains collaborations with Lori Goldston (Nirvana, David Byrne, Cat Power), Jeff Fielder (Mark Lanegan, Duff McKagan, Amy Ray), Johnny Sangster (Mudhoney, Neko Case, The Posies), etc.
Before moving to play music full time in 2011, Mike spent years working as a teacher, humanitarian and laborer. His work experiences and travels have kept him grounded and lead to insightful lyrics and a diverse blend of musical influences which are seen in his recordings and performances.
Mike has performed in almost every situation imaginable, from state television in China, to songwriting workshops in prisons and at festivals in the US and Europe. He has shared bills and stages with artists such as Mike Watt (Iggy Pop & The Stooges, Minutemen), Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Los Lobos, Damien Jurado, Artis the Spoonman (Soundgarden), Pall Jenkins (Black Heart Procession, Kurt Vile, J Mascis), Dick Valentine (Electric Six), Stef Burns (Alice Cooper), Chiodos, The Districts, The Murder City Devils, Ian Moore (Joe Ely), etc.
In his younger years, he interviewed bands such as The Melvins, Shudder to Think, Boots Riley (The Coup, Tom Morello, Sorry to Bother You film), Guy Davis, etc., and worked as an occasional stage hand for bands such as Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Rob Zombie, Mastadon, Coldplay, etc.
Dusty Awe is a singer/songwriter from Denmark playing emotional and intelligent acoustic punk. Dusty Awe's frontman, Michael Sulbæk Larsen, performs wearing his heart on his sleeve and poring it out onto naive sugarcoated melodies. Being tough also means being tender and Dusty Awe attempts to balance.
Michael has been performing live and actively touring with Dusty Awe since a debut-concert in 2006 warming up for Ghost Mice.
Dusty Awe has toured thousands of kilometers and playing hundreds of shows, most of them solo.
Not many recordings of Dusty Awe songs have been made in spite of a rather long professional career - and the focus has been performing live.
