Cold process soap is made by combining oils and sodium hydroxide lye. That causes a chemical reaction called saponification. Technically, cold processe soap is safe to use after a few days. However, it is recommend letting the soap cure for 4-6 weeks in a cool, dry place with good airflow. Excess water will evaporate, which creates harder and milder bars that last longer in the shower. It’s definitely worth the wait.

Soaps are great alternative for shower gels. It is not only helps you to reduce plastic waste but also made from natural ingredients, so it is great for sensitive skin. Making your own soap also lets you to chose all the ingredient including colorants and fragrances.

Now you have the opportunity to learn how to make cold process soap and take home the beautiful skin friendly soaps what we will make during this workshop.

There will be two workshops on 03.03 ( Sunday )

The first one at 11.00.

The second at 15.00.

Each workshop will take about 2-3 hours. During this time we will learn the technique of soap making and make a few different type of soap using different colorants and fragrances.

After the workshop we will leave the soaps at 1000fyrd for a week. We will come back next weekend to slice them up. Than you can take them home.
