"Spacial concepts mean a lot to me, and the challenge that are connected to those. Digitality interests me in that sense, that it puts another layer to lived spaces."

In this site-specific exhibition, Kamilla Mez base different works on a roughly objective character of the space of the Art Room and her own subtle relationship to 1000fryd. Art Room 1000fryd has a lot of identities. Apart from being a low-key exhibition platform, the room also runs other functions such as backstage room for bands and meeting space for the activists in the house. More or less formal words are written on digital displays and half truths are being whispered in the corners.

With a diverse set of medias and skills, Kamilla Mez attempts to unfold the different dimensions of the room - physicality, history and sociable profile - with Edward Sojas Thirdspace theory as a baseline.

KAMILLA MEZ (b. 1993 in Berlin) is a performative multidisciplinary visual artist based in Aalborg. She is co-founder of Art Room 1000fryd and is finishing her bachelor in Art & Technology at Aalborg University. In the Fall of 2018, she was abroad on Timebased & Interactive Media at University of Art & Design Linz in Austria.
