In the wake of a giant speculative property bubble and high unemployment, the young and old of Madrid are occupying empty buildings to satisfy their economic and social rights. The communities that thrive in these spaces form social and cultural centres that challenge notions of possession. Shot before the indignados occupied Puerta del Sol and before #Occupy, this documentary gives an insight into the early politics and activism of occupation in Spain.
