After discussions about civic virtues and media’s influence on shaping the citizens of today, we wish to delve deeper into the role education plays in encouraging or inhibiting us from taking an active stance in politics and society. What are the underpinnings of current educational systems around the world? And why are they so incredibly out-dated? What exactly is the agenda behind mass education? What utopias and alternatives are there and are they necessarily any better?
