As Groovebox continues to establish itself as one of Aalborg's primary underground events, we want to show our appreciation to those who've believed in us thoughtout the years. Therefor we're proud to announce that one of dance music's godfathers will be visiting our DJ booth.
In electronic music it's rare to find an artist who has had such a big impact on the scene as Funk D'Void has. His rise to stardom started in 1995, when the notorious Soma label released his debut single "Jack Me Off" - the very same year they released Daft Punk's legendary "Da Funk" record. From that moment on Funk D'Void didn't slow down. His releases landed at the hands of world-DJs like Sven Väth, Jeff Mills and Laurent Garnier, whose support would quickly see the Scotsman become a household name.
Over the past two decades Funk D'Void has released on labels such as Bedrock, Cocoon, Tronic and his own Outpost imprint. Likewise, he has worked with prominent names including New Order, Deetron, Kevin Saunderson, Paul Van Dyk, Stephan Bodzin, Ian Pooley, Christian Smith and countless more. Throught the years Funk D'Void has also performed at almost every possible stage between Detroit and Shanghai, counting regular performances at global clubs such as Pacha and Space.
Concidered one of the planet's most talented DJs, we've had to dig deep to find suitable support acts - as a result, we've invited ˇeljektor and YEK, who will be sharing their ridiculously big knowledge on high quality Deep House and Disco.
