Postrock kvartetten The Seven Mile Journey udgav i marts deres nyeste album “Notes for the Synthesis” igennem det amerikanske pladeselskab Fluttery Records.
Rosa Parks’ Private Bus Seat is, let’s face it, a name that is too long. It’s like these guys want to be the pain, or at least the itch in your ass. Stupid half-wits. They probably got long hair too and sing like an over the top schmaltz performer who looks gayer than Leigh Bowery.
But still, maybe it is the youngsters’ freshness combined with the experience of the old farts in the band that drives this quartet. Guitars drenched in shoegaze and postpunk, a thwarted punkfunkbass and a nervous how-did-he-do-that rhythm section provide a sound even a strict diet of New Kids on the Block can’t counter. And what are those silly Regi-like synths doing there?
Stop scratching yourself down there. It’s embarrassing
