Razorcake review: "Unfortunately, I don't speak Danish. Fortunately, I don't have to in order to tell you that this tape rocks. Mig & Min Ven is a garage rock/punk duo that holds their own with a stripped-down sound of just guitar, drums, and vocals. I've consulted my translator and their name means "Me & My Friend". There's no gimmicks here, just straightforward pop songs that will be your friends, too, if you can get a hold of this tape. -N.L. Dewart"
Og om Eagle and talon.....
"Kim Talon started composing music to temper the arctic conditions of her hometown, Winnipeg, Manitoba. At 18, she moved to NYC in search of warmer climates and a career in tap dancing. Meanwhile, Alice Talon was busy abandoning a career in classical piano to search for her ancestors. She left Cleveland for Taiwan, where she spent afternoons drumming in the basements of Taipei.
The two met in LA and played their first show at on Valentine’s Day. In 2006, they released Eagle and Talon Cares, a 4-song ep. Following their North American with Sia, the group retrenched in Los Angeles and began working on new material.
June 23, 2009 will see the release of THRACIAN (slated for digital release April 9th), Eagle and Talon's first full-length. With Thracian, the girls have employed organs, flugal horn, piano, "himalayan ice" and lead guitar noise by Andrew Jeffords. They will be touring Europe and Japan Fall 2009 following a US tour in support of the new album."

VILLAGE VOICE - "artlessly jagged post-punk that's got fun in it even when it's being serious."
LA TIMES - "The music of Eagle and Talon is wonderfully underproduced. The hollow, tinny notes of a child's Casio keyboard swirl around choppy guitar licks and no-nonsense drumbeats. Kim's voice, sweet and strong, braves the rapids of this melodic current with powerful self-assurance."
BUST MAGAZINE - "If at first you mistake track one of L.A. duo Eagle and Talon's EP as the coolest Sleater-Kinney song you've heard in ages, we forgive you; Kim Talon's sweetly strident vocals are the best tribute I've heard to S-K. But Kim and Alice Talon have much more up their sleeve using just drums, guitar, Casio, and weirdo turns of phrase ("You're a devil in a waterbed/Your eyeliner is frostbite"). Most important, Eagle and Talon have that extra je ne sais quoi that makes their debut really exciting and, at four songs, not nearly long enough. I'm waiting for the full-length to drop, ladies."
BOSTON HERALD - "Los Angeles girlie-punk duo Eagle and Talon ripped through a rousing opening set full of artfully executed noise: a guitar and drums-based affair fused with primal feminine abandon reminiscent of both ''Guyville"-era Liz Phair and the quirky timing of early Throwing Muses.
NYLON MAGAZINE - "This self-described "leotard rock" band uses their wacky auditory tricks and sing-songy vocals to create messed-up lullabies"
