"This is the first real record release to document and celebrate one of
Europe's highest acclaimed reggae clubs: RubADub Sundays in
Copenhagen. A weekly event that during more than 5 years has brought a
heap of top shelf reggae names to a relatively small venue on a
weekday that is usually difficult to get filled out on artists' tour
plan. This has given the opportunity for Denmark's premier reggae
producer Pharfar to voice a lot of huge artists in his humble Food
Palace Studio. Some of which are featured on this album.
The freshness of Pharfars crisp yet organic riddims has inspired
vintage heavyweights such as John Holt, Horace Andy, Mykal Rose and
Max Romeo to write great new material you would think was recorded at
their respective golden ages. These titans are famous far beyond
reggae circles but the tracklist is packed with equally important and
historic superstars such as Sugar Minott, Half Pint, King Kong, Johnny
Clarke, Echo Minott, Buro Banton and Junior Murvin who all delivers
long lasting big tunes that have stood the test on that early Monday
morning dance floor where no mediocre record keeps people around.
Topped off with a few handpicked stars of the current Jamaican sky
like Warrior King and Lutan Fyah this album gives the world a first
chance to experience a star producer of tomorrow in his right element;
So finally the Scandinavian secret is out. Pharfar to the world. Global!"
